Two-minute tutorial: a Monday plan from a long list
How to turn a scattered mental to-do list into three clear priorities for the week
Monday morning, and everything is on the list at once — the job that's overdue, the email you've been avoiding, the invoice you meant to chase last week, the client who wants an update. Nothing feels more important than anything else, so you end up doing whatever's loudest instead of whatever actually matters most. This tutorial turns that pile into a short plan you can genuinely start on before your coffee's finished.
Do this now
- Dump every task on your mind into the chat box, in whatever order it comes out. Don't sort it or rank it first — half the value here is getting it out of your head and onto the page exactly as messy and unfiltered as it actually is right now.
- Ask for the three that matter most this week. Three is small enough to force honesty — if everything on the list is "urgent," nothing really is, and a genuine shortlist makes the real priorities surface on their own.
- Ask for one line on when you'll do each of them — a day, or a rough slot in the week. A plan without a "when" attached to it has a way of quietly turning back into just another list by Tuesday.
- Copy the short plan onto a sticky note, the top of your notebook, or wherever you'll actually see it again before Wednesday rolls around and the week gets away from you.
Try this
Here's everything on my mind: [PASTE YOUR LIST]. Pick the three most important for this week and suggest a day for each.
What you'll get back
You'll get back three tasks, each with a short reason it made the cut and a suggested day to tackle it — not a reorganized version of your entire list, just the part of it that actually needs doing this week. It reads more like a real plan than a to-do dump, because that's exactly what it is.
That's the whole point: a clear starting point instead of a scattered list staring back at you every time you open your notes app. This is exactly what the Monday Plan helper gives you each week, with the template already built so the only thing you have to bring is the mess that's already in your head.
